1. Sel Roti

Sel Roti is a unique Nepali doughnut that is deep-fried and the best thing about this dish is that it is less sweet than regular doughnuts. You can find Sel Roti on the sidewalks of the roads.

2. Dal Bhat

This is a traditional Nepali meal comprising two complementary dishes, namely rice and dal, and is served with an assortment of side dishes.

3. Momos

4. Yomari

One of the popular dishes of Nepal is yomari. It is a fish-shaped winter delicacy, made from rice flour, traditionally filled with molasses and sesame seeds, and then steamed. Other fillings may include chocolate, jaggery and nuts.  

5. Thukpa

Soups are popular in the cold highlands of Nepal. Influenced from both Tibet and China, Nepal has its version of Thukpa containing pieces of meat and vegetables along with noodles. The aroma of meat stock will arouse your hunger and the spices will titillate your taste buds.

6. Gorkhali Lamb

If you are a meat and mutton lover, Gorkhali Lamb is a must-try dish in Nepal. It comprises slow-cooked succulent pieces of lamb meat immersed in chunky curry alongside wedges of potatoes and roughly chopped onions.
