RJ Assembly Elections 2023 Results top developments: The state saw a two-front contest between the Congress and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). Several pollsters had predicted that the BJP would gain a majority in the desert state, which is exactly what happened. Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot tendered his resignation.

Rajasthan Constituency Wise Winner Loser Candidates: The counting of votes for the Rajasthan Assembly elections closed on Sunday (Dec 3) and BJP emerged victorious in the western Indian state by winning a total of 115 seats. Congress secured only 69 seats. The state saw a two-front contest between the Congress and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). Several pollsters had predicted that the BJP would gain a majority in the desert state, which is what happened. 

Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot, who was confident of retaining power in Rajasthan, lost and tendered his resignation. The elections were fought on four main issues: communalism, paper leak controversy, law and order/ women's safety, and welfare schemes.

The Congress government was betting big on its welfare schemes, particularly targeting the gig workers and downtrodden to defy a strong anti-incumbency wave in the state. Out of four states that went into polls, Congress won only in Telangana. 

The assembly elections were held on November 25, with the state recorded a turnout of 74.62 per cent. The female voting was recorded at 74.72 per cent and male at 74.53 per cent. In the 2018 polls in Rajasthan, the voting percentage was 74.72.

Speaking over BJP leading the election race in Rajasthan, State Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot said, "We did not leave any stone unturned and were fully prepared for the elections. We thought people would vote for us based on our current schemes but that did not happen. We will analyse this.
