India State Elections 2023: Top Winners In Race To Power

Mukul Sharma

Shivraj Singh Chouhan

Extremely popular as ‘mama’ (maternal uncle) as he likes to be called in Madhya Pradesh, Shivraj orchestrated a significant victory for the BJP, refuting all fears of anti-incumbency fears after three consecutive terms.

Revanth Reddy

In Telangana, Revanth Reddy is likely to be the next chief minister after Congress party secured a decisive win in the state.

KV Ramana Reddy

The BJP lost in Telangana despite heavy campaigning by its star campaigner. A heartening consolation however was KV Ramana Reddy’s win in Kamareddy where he defeated the Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao and Congress state chief Revanth Reddy.

Diya Kumari

At 52, with age by her side in terms of politics, Diya Kumari’s win is expected to result in a significant position of power for her in Rajasthan’s capital Jaipur.

Vasundhara Raje Scindia

Despite being sidelined, the former Rajasthan chief minister secured a decisive win from her Jhalarapatan seat. Raje continues to be the top Rajasthan CM contender within the BJP.

Mahant Balak Nath

After Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, another monk has won an election for the BJP. This time it’s Mahant Balak Nath from Rajasthan’s Tijara constituency.

Raman Singh

The former Chhattisgarh chief minister has ensured a decisive victory for the BJP in central Indian state with most tribal population.
